The DeWalt DW364 is a really powerful, tough circular saw and another corded tool. Once again we have a great 15 Amp motor which is made for long life and difficult applications.
It certainly seems to live up to that, but we’ll get to that later.
This is one mean power tool, not aimed at the budget-conscious user!
However, if you like your tools beefy, long-lasting and able to zip through anything, the DeWalt DW364 is your man!

Take a Look at The DW364 Circular Saw in More Detail
The DeWalt DW364 is clearly aimed at the professional user as it has a very solid construction throughout which is the reason it weighs in at just over 12 pounds. However, the solid and weighty feel seems to be a hit amongst most users.
In terms of adjustability, there’s a pivot depth of cut adjustment at the rear and a 50d beveling adjusment. The depth of cut adjustment ensures your hand is behind the tool for all depth of cuts which is a good safety feature and there’s an electric brake which stops the blade immediately after releasing the power button.
Both the depth of cut and bevel adjustments can be recalibrated if you accidentally drop the saw or give it a fairly hefty knock.
Incidentally, a quick note on model numbers to clarify what you get. The DeWalt DW364 consists of circular saw, blade wrench and included carbide tipped tool. The DeWalt DW364K however, includes the kit case into which you can store the saw, wrench and any blades. Now for the prices I’ve sourced for you below, there’s very little difference in cost, but I’ve included a link for both:
– For the best price on the DeWalt DW364K, with Case, Saving you up to 58%, Click Here –
– For the best price on the DeWalt DW364, without case, Saving you up to 54%, Click Here –
[But check the ‘without case’ against the ‘with case’ price as we’ve sometimetimes found there’s almost no difference or you can even pay less with the case than without!]
Let’s See What Users Have To Say On The DeWalt DW364
“The 364K cuts anything you feed it. I’ve used my friends saws (milwaukee, makita, and Bosch) but this DeWalt was my favorite. This was my first profesional power tool that I bought about 5 years ago. It’s helped me cut new floors for mobile homes, new roofs, steel tubes for stairs, on and on the list goes. I Love how big it looks. First time I took it out, my nieghbor from accross the street had a look on his face like “what the hell is that?”. You no longer find this model in my town. They carry the new smaller lighter saws.”
While DannyG says:
“I have used several brands of saws but dewalt has far been the best. This saw is great to work with and very acurate. Before this saw I never used one with the rear pivot but was very pleased with it. Perfect for cutting just about any thing. Highly recommend for the SERIOUS carpenter thats on the job site. Thats the main thing about Dewalt tools, there made for the job site unlike makita is for the home owner ;-)”
Over a number of reviews, everyone seems extremely pleased with the quality and ease of cutting. One or two remark on the weight, but add that they are happy with that, knowing it does its job. Whilst this circular saw seems to be aimed at the professional market, some home diy’ers have snapped it up knowing it would last them a long, long time, making it a good budget purchase over time.
The ability to recalibrate has certainly been a hit with quite a number of users as is the speed of being able to change saw blades.
Talking of which, one or two users point out that the supplied saw blade is pretty basic. I’d advise you to buy decent blades when you order the tool as you’ll get a much better idea of what this saw is capable of in real terms! You can get the following types but you’ll need to specifically search for them as there are so many:
Combo or Combination Saw Blade
Thin Kerf Saw Blade
6 / 16 / 18 / 20 / 24 / 36 / 40 / 60 / 68 / 100 / 140 Tooth Saw Blade
Hollow Ground Planer Saw Blade
Nail Cutting Saw Blade
Crosscut Saw Blade
Fiber Cement Saw Blade
Framing Saw Blade
Wet Lumbar Saw Blade
Ultra Thin Saw Blade
Plywood and Veneer Saw Blade
Also, as with other circular saws out there, you don’t get a rip guide or rip fence. Now I appreciate that not all professionals want, or even need them, but some occasionally do. If you are a home user then you probably will. So I’ve sourced the appropriate DeWalt rip fence for you as well which you can see here. Just click the image for more details or to order.
